Join the City Department of Emergency Management (DEM) in their efforts to update this Plan. This event is an opportunity to learn about the findings of the updated risk assessment, and to give your input regarding your concerns and ideas for reducing risk. The objectives of the multi-hazard mitigation plan are:
to protect people and structures from harm and destruction, and
to reduce or mitigate losses and disruption of services during disasters.

Input received at this meeting will help inform the analysis and consideration of mitigation actions. DEM is also conducting a Disaster Preparedness Survey to learn more about O‘ahu residents’ understanding of natural hazards and what recommendations the public has that DEM should consider in preparing for disasters.
