The Annual Sustainability Report tracks the City and County of Honolulu’s and community-wide progress in advancing sustainability, climate change, and resilience across O‘ahu.
Produced each year by the Office of Climate Change, Sustainability and Resiliency, this report brings together data, performance metrics, and real-world actions to measure how we are meeting our commitments and where more work is needed. This report fulfills requirements established by City Charter and local ordinances to track overall performance in meeting environmental and sustainability objectives, while also reflecting our responsibility to be transparent and accountable to the people of O‘ahu.
The 2026 Annual Sustainability Report primarily reflects data from Calendar Year 2025, with some metrics reported by fiscal year where noted. Together, these indicators provide a comprehensive view of how City operations and community initiatives are contributing to a more resilient island future.

Over 4,500 new solar panels sit atop the Neal S. Blaisdell Center parking structure and generate nearly all of the facility’s daytime energy needs while providing shaded parking for visitors. A battery system was also installed to store clean, renewable energy that can power the Center’s evening events.
