City and County of Honolulu Annual Sustainability Report

2026
Annual Sustainability Report

The Annual Sustainability Report tracks the City and County of Honolulu’s and community-wide progress in advancing sustainability, climate change, and resilience across O‘ahu.

Produced each year by the Office of Climate Change, Sustainability and Resiliency, this report brings together data, performance metrics, and real-world actions to measure how we are meeting our commitments and where more work is needed.

This report fulfills requirements established by City Charter and local ordinances to track overall performance in meeting environmental and sustainability objectives, while also reflecting our responsibility to be transparent and accountable to the people of O‘ahu.

The 2026 Annual Sustainability Report primarily reflects data from Calendar Year 2025, with some metrics reported by fiscal year where noted. Together, these indicators provide a comprehensive view of how City operations and community initiatives are contributing to a more resilient island future. 🌏

Resilience in Action

Tracking Implementation of the Oʻahu Resilience Strategy

The chart below shows the current status of these actions—highlighting those completed, in progress, and ongoing.

While the Annual Sustainability Report focuses on measurable performance metrics associated with specific targets, the O‘ahu Resilience Strategy provides a long-term framework that connects and guides many of the efforts reflected throughout the report.
