Disposable Food Ware Ordinance Advisory Group

 

Following the adoption of Ordinance 19-30, the Disposable Food Ware Ordinance (DFWO), the Department of Environmental Services began the process of updating its Administrative Rules to incorporate rules regarding the department’s implementation of the new law.

To support the development of the updated Administrative Rules, the Resilience Office facilitated a group of community and industry stakeholders to provide input on the administrative rulemaking process as it relates to the DFWO.

The Department of Environmental Services (ENV) is integrating questions, comments, and feedback from the Advisory Group and the general public into the updated Administrative Rules intended to provide clarity to ensure a smooth transition and implementation as the DFWO takes effect starting January 1, 2021.

The Department of Environmental Services held a public hearing on January 15, 2021 to receive input on the proposed updated Administrative Rules.
