Participate in the Plan Update
A prepared community is an educated community. As part of the update, the City will be hosting a series of virtual webinars open to the public. Webinars will provide information on the LHMP planning process and focus on a specific hazard type that impacts Oʻahu. The goal is to help community members better understand the different hazard types, their personal risk, and gain feedback on their concerns to make the LHMP update more transparent.
Community Outreach – Tentative Schedule
The OʻahuPrepared Webinar series is focused on sharing about the Plan update, Oʻahu’s natural hazards, and how community members can prepare for them. They will be livestreamed on Facebook at @OahuDEM.
Wednesday, March 20th at 7-8 pm HST – Climate Change Impacts on Oʻahu’s Natural Hazards. Facebook recording.

City Working Group
City-wide impacts require City-wide support. Members of the City Working Group include representatives from various departments who have subject matter expertise in hazard mitigation, or a responsibility to protect public health, safety and welfare. The City Working Group focuses on reviewing the current plan, identifying data or studies to inform the plan update, and leveraging the technical expertise and experience of other government entities.
